Happy New Year 2010!

January 2, 2010

After an interesting year in 2009, and a hiatus from the real estate radio waves,  I am on my way back.  Many of you have asked when I had planned to go back on the air with my radio show.  To be honest with you, I have really enjoyed not going into a radio station every Saturday morning and spending the better half of the weekend talking to countless thousands of people about real estate matters.  It’s not that I don’t like talking to people or talking about real estate.  But I do love having my Saturdays free again.  After over seven years of being on the radio every Saturday morning, it has been nice to be a “normal” weekender.

Unfortunately for me, many of you have asked me to return to the airwaves.  You say that my approach to real estate and how I am not trying to sell you anything is not only refreshing, but what the marketplace needs.  You tell me that my show was always informative and educational and interesting.  While I am honored to receive such acolades,  I am not sure I am deserving of such compliments.

I guess my passion for being honest with people comes across in the way I put a show together.  I know I hate it when somebody is trying to sell me something that I don’t want to buy.  And I bring that same disdain for over-zealous salespeople to the shows that I put together.  And I think that is why so many of you have asked me to come back and start the show up again.

So, here we are in 2010…with what I think will be another year of challenges for the real estate market…and yet, I think there is much hope on the not so distant horizon.  I am confronted with a marketplace that is screaming for an honest look at the real estate market and I’m hearing from many of you, my loyal listeners, who have followed this show for seven years…and you are asking me to bring the show back.  I don’t think I have a choice. While I have enjoyed my time away…I am willing to consider doing the show again.  But I am not willing to come into the radio station on a Saturday or Sunday anymore.  Instead, I will do the show and post it here…online…for your listening pleasure. So in the coming weeks, I will be launching the next phase of this Real Estate Radio Show.  It will only be online, but you’ll be able to access it on demand 24/7.

Well, I gotta roll for now.  I hope you are working on some cool things of your own for 2010.  Let’s work together and make it a better year.

.

Best Regards,

Jorgy Jorgensen
